Once this is done select your appropriate overall mood color and Moody takes care of the rest by offering music that best fits the way you feel.
Be careful if you are using Moody in a work environment in case those near you don’t want to hear the death metal selection in your angry mood playlist.

Scratch is a a super easy, intuitive program that lets just about anybody create their own interactive stories, games and animations to share on the web. Scratch was designed to be used by kids ages 8 and up and its incredibly easy (and fun) to get started.
It’s free and was apparently developed by folks at MIT specifically to be useable by people between the ages of 8-16 year olds as an educational tool. They offer a number of instructional videos, start up guides and examples to help you get started. Don’t let the target age group turn you off though, this is a fun program to play with and regardless of your age and skill level it’s doodle-friendliness makes it well worth grabbing.

HandBrake is a DVD to MPEG-4 converter, available for MacOS X. Using HandBrake you can take a source video from a DVD image, DVD, video_ts folder, NTSC, plus a couple of others to boot and easily convert them to MPEG-4 video. Alternately (or additionally) you also have the option of converting them to a number of audio outputs like Vorbis, MP3 or AAC.
Some of the other handy features and latest updates to HandBrake for Mac include; user presets, AppleTV/PS3 support, surround sound, and Quicktime style chapter markers. It’s all open source, it works great and (best of all) it’s free. Give it a shot.

Goombah is a “Music Discovery Application”. Basically, what it does is analyze your listening preferences based on what you play through your iTunes music player. In other words, it creates a profile for you based on what you listen to, then it compares your profile with that of other similar profiles and makes suggestions to you based on the differences.
The idea is that Goombah will turn you on to music that you may otherwise not have heard of by showing you what people with similar taste in tunes are listening to.

Canto Pod is a widget for OSX that allows you to download lyrics to your favorite music for viewing at your leisure. So the next time you are wondering to yourself what your favorite mushmouthed rock star is wailing — you’ve got it right there at your disposal.
One of the cooler features in Canto Pod is the music spy. Canto Pod will actually spit out the lyrics to whatever song you happen to be listening to at the time - you don’t even have to do a search or query. Their library is also impressively extensive and grows every day. If you have an iPod, this one is a keeper.

Googalyzer is a pretty cool power tool kind of application for serious Google power users. It’s billed as a research tool, and some have criticised it for being essentially just a browser - which it is. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t handy or helpful for folks researching in Google.
The primary virtue of the Googalyzer browser/tool is the ease with which you can query different segments of Google without having to leave the application or open any more tabs. You have a bar across the top of the browser - similar in look and feel to OS X’s dock. From here you can query Google web, news, images, books, blogs, scholar or groups without retyping your query or opening any new tabs. Simply enter your search term one time and you’re all set.

JaBack is an automated Data Backup application from HiTek software. Nobody thinks having good back ups are a bad idea. The problem is, having good backups can turn into a tedious chore or hassle. That’s where JaBack shines. It makes it easy to create and manage your backups on whatever schedule you like.
The scheduler software is probably my favorite aspect of JaBack. It’s super easy to configure and use. JaBack will even zap you an email if it fails a scheduled task for whatever reason.
Bottom line: JaBack is free, it’s easy and it’s always better to have a back up and not need one than to need a backup and not have one.

Here’s a handy tip from the developer: “Simply type the first letters of the tag and you will be teleported at the tag folder that you need.” Saves you from having to scroll through long lists of tags - very handy.
