SpeedFreak optimizes your OS and organizes your applications so the program that is in front will get more processor time. With Speed freak you can override the default by increasing the processor priority of whatever application that is currently in use. This one is a personal fave.

DotNotes is an application that allows you to sync your sticky notes through idisk storage. It kind of resembling Apples stickies app. It’s got a few extra bells and whistles though. DotNotes has all the features of Stickies but allows you to synchronize your notes across several machines.

SheerVideo Reader X allows you to decode video files on your computer allowing you to watch them with double the disk speed, double you disc size, double your transmission bandwidth, and maintain perfect fidelity. SheerVideo Reader X also keeps the video files identical to the original and more. I know we like to stick to the freeware (and this is a trialware) but this is a pretty slick app and you get to use it for 20 days before you have to make up your mind on it.

ChemicalBurn is a screensaver for Mac OS that simulates a self organizing Transportation network. You read it right. A self organizing transportaion network… trust me, it’s cool. Packages fly around on your screen while routes are formed and the network heals itself after an outage. ChemicalBurn is an interesting screensaver to say the least.

In light of the recent iPhone launch, many designers are wondering how their sites will render on the latest Mac gadget’s display. Thanks to the iPhoney utility, you don’t have to wonder any longer. iPhoney provides users with a pixel-accurate rendition of what their site will look like in this particular environment. Not only that, but the developers also made the program window to look like an actual iPhone to complete the simulation.
