There are many application launchers, but Butler is the only fully-featured one comparable to Quicksilver. It wouldn’t do it justice to call it just an application launcher, though it certainly does that. It can be used to assign keyboard shortcuts or mouse movements to almost any action. You can even set up mouse actions at the top, bottom, left, or right of the screen (instead of the usual diagonal corners). You can type a Google search before your browser is open (it will open directly to the results page) or type abbreviations to have them expanded into full words or sentences. This application is almost infinitely flexible in helping you improve your productivity.
