Safari and Firefox get the most air time among internet browsers for Mac OS X, but Camino deserves a moment in the spotlight.
Camino is a Mac-only browser produced by the Mozilla Foundation, the same group that brought us Firefox. Camino uses the same “Gecko rendering engine” as Firefox, so you can expect web pages to look the same across those two browsers. But, like Safari, Camino was created with Cocoa, the latest and greatest programming language for Mac OS X, so it feels slightly more “native” than Firefox. Camino doesn’t allow for extensions or themes like Firefox does (and it isn’t updated quite as often) but in return you get a fast, light, beautiful browser.
