If you have ever worked with color in photo or graphics, you know how important it is to find just the right shade when matchin colors. Pipetter makes that easy. Once started, you can drag your cursor to any color anywhere on the screen and Pipette will let you copy the hex format for that color.
It works well and does it fast.

Thumbscrew is a handy little tool to give your photos some personality.
When you drop an image (or a folder of images) on Thumbscrew, it will rotate the image, add a nice little border, and resize to your liking. This is a great way to make a thumbnail if you are going to post the picture online.
It’s fast too.

iChartwork is a fun little thing (and I’m surprised it isn’t built into iChat.) This app “will sync your avatar on iChat and/or Adium and the artwork of the song playing in iTunes.” So, if you have Josh Rouse blaring from your iTunes collection, his album cover will be your icon in iChat.
This means that you should get rid of all your Spice Girls and Mariah Carey albums.

This one lets you view image or icon files inside the Dock, a handy thing for application developers to test how their new icon looks when displayed in the Dock. Just start up Dock Icon Viewer, then drop the file on the little drop window to see your image appear inside the Dock. Works with various image files, as well as PDF and icns files.

Hey Folders! offers something Mac OS X probably should have right from the start. Hey Folders! gives all your folders with color labels a colored folder icon to match. As you change folders’ color labels, the colored icons update automatically. Cool.
Note: Finder must be restarted for the changes to take effect (it might be convenient to put Hey Folders! in your Startup Items).

This app really comes in handy for those of you who like to change the default icons that come on Mac OS X. mg2icns is a a small and simple utility that converts JPEGs, PNGS, TIFs, and GIFs to the ICNS format, which is used for Mac OS X applications’ icons.
For instance, the Country Stamps is a beautiful collection of flag icons that can be used for mail.app. The problem is that they are delivered in a .png format. Just drop the flag that you want to us on the img2icns and it will create a .icns file. It’s this file that you can copy and paste to replace a standard icon. (tutorial here.)
