Taking digital photos is tons of fun. But, if you’re anything like me, those photos, once taken end up just sitting on my hard drive forever - never to be seen again. Taking pictures is great, but dealing with them after the fact is still kind of a chore. That’s why I love JAlbum.
JAlbum is a digital gallery freeware that lets you quickly and easily create web albums for your digital photos. JAlbum is easy to use, it’s free, and it just might get those pictures of off of your hard drive out where someone else could actually look at them.

Many of my friends have Facebook accounts, so it’s a great place to stay up to date on what they’re doing and to see their photos. While it has a pretty good interface for uploading pictures, this plugin make it’s even easier. With the Facebook Exporter for iPhoto, you can send photos directly from iPhoto to Facebook. You can also put them in albums, add captions, and tag them. If you use Facebook and iPhoto, you’ll definitely want this plugin.

Gallery AV creates great-looking, customizable Flash photo and video galleries. Simply drag and drop your photos and videos onto the creator. Then you can put the result on your server and show off your photos. It’s very useful and easy to use when you want to put up some photos for friends and family.
They offer a nice batch of sample galleries to see what this program is capable of doing.

When you’re dealing with photgraphy, there is more math than you’d think. The math especially gets difficult when you want to resize your photos. Scaletron makes this easy.
Just plug in the numbers that you know.(e.g., current width, heigth, desired ppi) and then hit calculate and the math will all be done with you nice and quick. This is great for printing!

With iPhoto Buddy you can maintain multiple iPhoto libraries. For example, you may want an entire, separate iPhoto Library for work and another one for home. You could also keep separate iPhoto Libraries on an external hard drive, and swap them in as needed. iPhoto Buddy does all of this, and you can even password protect your iPhoto Libraries.

HyperDither is sure to bring back memories of the early days.
The description from the developer:
HyperDither is an OS X image processing utility that converts color or grayscale images to 1 bit black & white using a sophisticated dithering routine. Specifically, HyperDither implements the Atkinson dithering filter.
Way back in the early days of Macintosh, Bill Atkinson (of HyperCard, QuickDraw, MacPaint & nature photography fame) developed a very elegant dithering filter to convert greyscale image data to the 1 bit black & white Mac video display.I was able to email Bill Atkinson in January, 2003 and inquire about the details of the algorithm; he was kind enough to respond with a brief write up of the routine—15 minutes later I had it up and running.
It’s taken a few spare afternoons since 2003 to pack everything into a nice little application with documentation and an icon—better late than never!

If you take a few different photos of a landscape and you want to stitch them together to make a panorama, hugin is the way to do it. Just line up the photos and save them as one. It’s pretty straight-forward and has good results.
The new panorama features in Photoshop CS3 work really well. I used it recently on some photos I took of the Golden Gate Bridge. But, Photoshop is expensive and not everyone can afford a copy. hugin can be a nice replacement.

If you have ever worked with color in photo or graphics, you know how important it is to find just the right shade when matchin colors. Pipetter makes that easy. Once started, you can drag your cursor to any color anywhere on the screen and Pipette will let you copy the hex format for that color.
It works well and does it fast.
