Are you tired of having to change media players every time you want to watch a non-QuickTime video? Does the concept of all-in-one appeal to you? If so, check out the Democracy Player, a media player claiming the best HD experience anywhere. Currently, the Democracy Player supports Quicktime, WMV, MPEG, AVI, XVID and more. There are additional features available including YouTube search, video RSS support, and the ability to download BitTorrent files.
Democracy is a very promising product. But even with all the promise, it is still quite amazing. Their slogan is “Watch internet videos like you watch TV.” I suppose that a similair product would be FireANT…but I like the feel of Democracy better.
There are neat features like subscribing to video RSS feeds (including podcasts, video blogs, and BitTorrent feeds), watching fullscreen, and sharing with friends. There is a ton more information on the site, including some useful information on making your own online TV channel.
