Desktopple

When I was at Macworld this past year, I was really surprised with the desktops of the presenters. They would have their desktop projected to a huge screen and there would be all kinds of icons everywhere. It just seemed a little messy to me.

Desktopple will help with those situations. This freeware sits in your menu bar and with one click, your whole desktop will be cleared off. You can have it go to a solid color or to your desktop image.

This is also incredibly useful when you need to take screenshots to add to a paper or presentation. With a clean desktop, the eyes of your audience won’t be focused on the wrong thing.
