Here’s one for the digital comics fans. FFView reads archive types, including .ZIP, .RAR, .CBR, and .CBZ, as well as TIFFs, GIFs, JPEGs, and PNGs. Though it can be used for viewing other images (not just comics), FFView is especially designed for digital comics and has many features and preference options to customize the experience, including Western or Manga views, a magnifying lens, zooming, and various control options. The Help feature is also very handy and informative for learning your way around the program.
Comical, another comics reader, has a nice interface and an easy-to-usabilty (I made that up just now), and is worthy of mention as an alternative. However, it seems that FFView is a stronger choice overall, and I give it the gold star.
