Googalyzer is a pretty cool power tool kind of application for serious Google power users. It’s billed as a research tool, and some have criticised it for being essentially just a browser - which it is. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t handy or helpful for folks researching in Google.
The primary virtue of the Googalyzer browser/tool is the ease with which you can query different segments of Google without having to leave the application or open any more tabs. You have a bar across the top of the browser - similar in look and feel to OS X’s dock. From here you can query Google web, news, images, books, blogs, scholar or groups without retyping your query or opening any new tabs. Simply enter your search term one time and you’re all set.
