iPod -> Folder

Tell me if this scenario sounds familiar. A friend who recently bought an iPod calls and asks, “Hey, I have an ipod that I just filled up with my brother’s computer. But now, my computer is saying that if I pair it with my iTunes it will erase all my music. Is there anyway I can get this music off the iPod before I pair it up?”

Thank goodness for freeware developers.

My personal favorite is iPodDisk because of the nice integration with Finder and Spotlight, but the edge that iPod -> Folder has is that it will work on both a Mac and a PC. Just plug in your iPod and away you go.

Keep a copy of this program on your iPod so you can have it ready to install on any kind of computer you plug into.
