If you're new to Freemacware.com and like what you see, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed or signup for our emails at the right. We'll send you one Mac freeware application every day. Thanks for visiting!
The computer savvy know that deleted files aren’t really gone, just covered over by new data. iShred will delete your selected files completely, overwriting them several times (you set the level). This might be useful for deleting private files when selling or recycling your hard drive so that the blueprints to your killer nano-robot infection don’t fall into the wrong hands. Obviously, this application is not to be used lightly, since files deleted this way cannot be recovered even by professionals. Also see iShred Express, a drag-and-drop version of iShred.
