iTapTempo is a great tool for anyone that deals with music. This freeware will allow you to tap out a beat and will return the beats per minute. This is especially helpful if you are mixing music because you can transition the music much, much smoother. Also, if you want to import a popular song into Garageband and add your own solos to it, this freeware will help you determine at what speed to do your project.
