iTunes Links

icon

iTunes Links changes the default action of the arrows in iTunes. Instead of sending you to the iTunes Music Store, you can change it to send you to all of that artist in your library.

If you have turned on the arrows in iTunes (iTunes->Preferences->General->Show Links to the Music Store), you will have arrows next to each song, artist, and album. Clicking on those links will bring you to that artist’s collection on the iTMS. With iTunes links, you can change it so that clicking on those arrows will just change the view to show all of that artist in your personal collection. I love it this way. When I am in the mood for a certain artist, it is a very fast way to get just that music visible in iTunes and play through his collection.

There was a Unix tip passed around on how to do this as well, but it is very easy with this freeware. Just be sure iTunes is closed, choose which action you want, and press Apply. It will stay on that setting until you change it.
