Users with sensitive eyes might prefer to tone down the display because it hurts their eyes. Apple provides keyboard controls to control backlighting. Screen Shades lets you tint the entire screen. When you launch Screen Shades, you see the Screen Shades Control Panel. This Control Panel lets you turn the effect on/off, select the desired tint (gray, blue, yellow, pink, and My Tint [a custom tint color]) and set the tint darkness.
