All the newest Powerbooks and MacBook Pros have a “Sudden Motion Sensor” for the hard drive. This is there to stop the disk from spinning if the computer senses that it is being dropped. This is done to attempt to save your data. But, what fun is a feature that you can only use when something goes wrong. SMSRotateD will let you play with this Sudden Motion Sensor (SMS) in the mean time.
Once installed, your screen will rotate as you rotate your laptop. (There is a video on the site.) Not real useful…unless you’re reading a really long document. But, it’s fun. Install SMSRotateD and SmackBook and you can really have a fun time with that sensor of yours.
