The StopDashboard Widget is a widget that ironically stops Dashboard. When you need every last ounce of computing power, you can click this widget and Dashboard will no longer be running. However, the nice thing is that you can simply press F12 to start up Dashboard again. (It doesn’t kill the Dashboard, just stops it.)
Personally, I really love Dashboard and have a few very useful widgets on there. But when I am using Photoshop or encoding a home video for DVD I use this widget for a little extra oomph.
