It dawns on me that our list of emulator posts is incomplete, because it has no representation from the any of the handheld systems. I used to own GameBoy, the original version. You remember, the big gray brick with the black and yellow screen and all the big, clunky attachments? Well GameBoy has matured considerably since then, and has an impressively large collection of good games available. Now, Macs users don’t generally have a lot of emulators to choose from, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few gems. I like Nestopia and Snes9x for my NES/SNES substitutes. As far as the GameBoy Advance is concerned, and after trying various options, I find VisualBoy Advance beats out the competition. Give it a try.
