WhatSize is a very handy application for finding where all your hard drive space is being used. For example, I was able to see how much space Garageband loops and instruments were using. That inspired me to do a quick run thru and take out all the ones I know I will never use. (Read, “world sounds and techno beats.”) I was able to get back 2GB of hard drive space.
Unfortunately, it will not tell you what can be safely deleted so if you’re trying to get back space, be careful.
