Zinio Reader
Zinio Reader is one of my five favorite programs on my Mac. I have never used it in public and NOT had someone ask about it. I debated on whether or not to put it on the site because the application is free but the magazines are not free. But it is too good not to include, plus they offer some free magazines.
Zinio Reader is software that lets you read digital copies of your favorite magazines. The magazines have the same look as the real ones, and even behave the same way when turning the pages. They have a great selection, and are constantly adding more. You receive an email each time a new issue is ready. I love to read the magazines this way while traveling.
The magazine subscriptions are really quite inexpensive, but you can try out one of their free issues. My guess is you’ll be hooked after you try it once.
Recently they started offering text books for college students. If your book is one of the included ones, you could save a good amount of money when buying the digital copy.
